A footballer missed his wedding day to report to a new team.
Mohamed Buya Ture was not on his big day as he was instead agreeing to a different type of contract, Sun Report.
The Sierra Leone international signed for Swedish side Malmö this summer after a spell in China.
And Malmö was so eager for the 27-year-old to join the squad as soon as possible that it forced him to miss their wedding.
However Ture ensured that the bride Suad Bedouin was not on her own – instead sending her brother to take her place.
The forward was unveiled as the Malmö player on 22 July, leaving Ture the day before, leaving the groom.
Luckily the happy couple had cleverly photographed the wedding before the star was forced to move to Sweden.
Ture gleefully told Swedish outlet Afton Bledet: “We got married on July 21 in Sierra Leone.
“But I wasn’t there because Malmö told me to come here first.
“We had already taken the pictures. So it’s like I was there but I wasn’t. My brother had to represent me at the wedding itself.”
Ture admitted that he still hasn’t reunited with his wife.
She continued: “I’ll try to get her to Sweden and Malmö now so she can be closer to me. She’ll be here with me.”
The forward is now hoping he’ll be around to make it to the plane for his honeymoon.
But he is already eyeing to win the league title.
Ture concluded: “First we have to win the league and then I’ll go on my honeymoon.”
The forward made his Malmö debut midweek in the Europa League qualifying stages.
