“So I was going to the bathroom like normal, and I was putting on a tampon” she began. Video.
“I grabbed one from my Tampax bag because there’s a shortage, so I’m using Tampax, not my organic, and check it out.
“You can clearly see that the color of the actual tampons, they’re all purple, each one of the Tampaxes is purple, they’re super.
“Then I found it. I thought, maybe it’s a new color, so then I took it out and um, what?
“So I just opened it, what is that?” He asked, taking out the strange metal object.

In a follow-up video, Celia explained that she didn’t actually buy a box of tampons from a store, but claims that her friend who worked at the Tampax factory gave some straight to her.
“Tampax sent me tampons and a prepaid mailing bag to send the ingredients,” she said in another video.
“Then they included a letter from Tampax saying they were going to send me compensation I didn’t expect, I don’t know what’s involved.
“I only posted this video, because if someone inexperienced gets their hands on it, and doesn’t know there’s something wrong with it, and they start using it, I think it’s really scary Is.
“It shouldn’t have happened, even if you were given it or you bought it, it shouldn’t have left the factory. No matter how I got it into my hands.
“I think that’s the main issue here.”
Many speculated that the metal inside the tampon was part of the testers and possibly slipped by mistake.
“Looks like it might be a defect detection tester?” Somebody commented.
“So they put it on the line to see if their quality control system finds it to be faulty.”
“Quality Control Tester” said another person.
“SS’ stands for stainless steel. It’s non-magnetic and hard to detect.”
A spokesperson for Procter & Gamble, owner of Tampax, said: “We are aware of the TikTok video and are looking into the matter. This is an example of our quality control process that we believe was accidentally gifted from an employee to a friend. Quality control samples are not sold to consumers.”
